Marine National Park Gulf of Chiriqui was established in 1994 and consists of various mangroves, 25 pristine islands and 19 corral reefs. Observe unspoiled and stunning flora and fauna of the area. Enjoy the wonderful white sandy beaches and discover area around the islands snorkelling. See diferent types of colourful fish, starfish, rays, sea turtles and other different sea animals. It’s possible to see many iguanas, different types of sea and mangrove birds, howler monkeys and two types of dolphins. One of the biggest mammals and the animals that "travel" the most live here in marine national park. Humpback whales are residents of this waters from mid july till mid november. They swim around as the ocean is warm and there is no danger for playful calves to do their first swim. We can also find male whales, who come here to mate and breach.
